The SPECTO Aerospace R&D Team is always on the move and completed its own state-of-the-art Machine Vision Algorithm and cobot control software for CASSy last month.

R&D Engineer Arnold:

 “Over the past few years, we have developed CASSy, our Cobot Automated Sanding System, completely in-house to perform a task that can hardly be expected of highly skilled people working all day in the modern world: instead of the traditional way of sanding, we can now sand Radomes completely robotized. And of course safely!

 We are in the middle of the pilot phase with all the checks and balances needed to eventually release CASSy for 24/7 Part145 operation support: with SPECTO’s Machine Vision Algorithm and control software, it decides autonomously where to sand or not.
